Jeom-Kee Paik (白点基)教授,国家级特优人才,博士生导师,国产直播 船舶与海洋工程系教授,英国伦敦大学学院机械工程系终身教授。英国皇家工程院院士、韩国科学技术院院士、英国皇家造船学会会员及美国造船及轮机工程师学会终身会员,获得了英国皇家造船师学会颁发的 William Froude 奖章(2015 年)和美国造船师和海洋工程师学会颁发的 David W. Taylor 奖章(2013 年),是全球海事界最负盛名的两个奖章。他还是海洋工程领域著名期刊《Ships and Offshore Structures》的创始人与杂志主编。发表各类论著600余篇,出版专著11部,取得技术专利60多项。主要研究方向为非线性结构力学;高级安全研究;基于极限状态的设计;结构可靠性;定量风险评估和管理;以及工程结构和海员的数字健康管理工程等。培养了了165名硕士生和45名博士生。根据 2023 年Elsevier全球前 2% 科学家排名,白教授位列第 13789 位。
报告内容简介:
This lecture highlights the pivotal role of oceanic solutions in addressing the world’s most pressing challenges, as identified in the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with particular emphasis on SDG 14: Life Below Water. It underscores the environmental consequences of fossil fuel dependence since the Industrial Revolution, including global warming, extreme weather, and sea-level rise. Urgent international collaboration is vital to reverse environmental degradation. The lecture explores how ocean-based innovations can tackle global issues such as climate change, energy and water scarcity, food security, and geopolitical conflicts. It also presents a cutting-edge framework for real-time monitoring and AI-enhanced Digital Healthcare Engineering (DHE) to improve safety and sustainability in maritime operations. By integrating technological innovation with global policy goals, this talk offers a compelling vision for the future of our oceans—and our planet.
