主讲人简介：Dr. Yuzhu Pearl Li是新加坡国立大学土木与环境工程系的助理教授和博士生导师，玛丽居里学者和洪堡资深学者。她的研究方向是海岸及海洋工程，包括流体结构海床相互作用、流固耦合、破碎波、泥沙输运、冲刷、液化和湍流模拟，特别关注计算流体动力学CFD建模和海岸工程问题的数值研究。她现担任《Coastal Engineering》杂志副主编、《Journal of Ocean Engineering and Marine Energy》副主编, 《Applied Ocean Research》编委，OpenFOAM杂志编委。她是OMAE国际会议的组委会成员，ICCE国际会议的课题组织者，也是新加坡工程师学会 (IES) 气候变化技术委员会主席, 于2025年被授予玛丽居里成就奖。

报告内容简介：This talk will focus on challenges and recent research breakthroughs on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling of coastal and ocean engineering problems in terms of (1) Turbulence modelling of breaking waves, (2) Wave-structure-sediment interaction, and (3) Flow interaction with flexible structures or vegetation. At the end of the talk, Dr. Li will also share the overview of Coastal Protection and Flood Resilience Institute (CFI) Singapore. As a small and low-lying city-state, Singapore is extremely vulnerable to the consequences of climate change, such as rising sea levels and other extreme weather events. To strengthen our capabilities and expertise in relevant research and solutioning, CFI was launched at NUS in 2023 with a funding of S$125 million. Missions and research focus of CFI Singapore as well as research collaboration opportunities will be highlighted.
